This EarthCruiser bike rack spent a month wandering the American Southwest bolted to one of the world’s most capable expedition trucks. The Extreme Duty 4x4x2 on a 600mm beam, manufactured by iSi with extra wide fat bike cradles, carried two fat bikes across desert country without a hiccup.

An EarthCruiser goes where support does not, so its bike rack has to be as self-sufficient as the truck. The fat bike cradles take the widest tyres in the range without adaptors, the 600mm beam gives clearance behind the truck’s rear wall, and the carrier pivots up with both bikes loaded whenever the rear access is needed. Capacity and fit

The wide cradles carry tyres up to 5.1 inches with each position rated to 32kg and room for a 1600mm wheelbase. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, with a 64kg total capacity.
