iSi Extreme Duty drawbar mounts deliver a very wide and very long footprint in order to spread the load and eliminate pressure hot spots on the drawbar chassis rails. This eliminates the high point loads that result from narrow welded or bolted mounts. As a true off-road system you will never find sandwich plate mounts on any iSi products.
Moreover, iSi Extreme Duty mounts are designed to clear drawbar mounted items such as the hand brake, jockey wheel and is compatible with most weight distribution system, stone guards, storage boxes and gas bottles. iSi has them covered.
The mounting system includes every nut, bolt and bracket for an easy home installation backed with a comprehensive installation guide to make the job easy and enjoyable. All of the mounts supplied by iSi are bolt on and can be fitted at home with an 18mm and 19mm spanner or ring spanner.

Just as there are many different drawbar mount models, there are also many different support posts to choose from. Mix and match for the ideal combination – no compromises. iSi StrongArm support posts are manufactured with matching four-bolt flanges to mount directly to the selected iSi bolt-on drawawbar mount model. With a huge variety of support post models that vary in height and angle, it’s a simple procedure to select the ideal mount to match the ideal bolt-on drawbar mount. As the post angle leans further forward, the position of the carrier moves forward as well. Conversely, as the post angle moves back towards the vertical, the carrier moves back as well. A very clever and straight forward system to deliver millimeter-perfect positioning of bicycles.

Pivot Up With Bikes On

In order to deliver the best clearance possible, the pivot function is configured at the nose of the carrier. This has the whole assembly pivot up and forwards to move the load away from the front of the van and up to help clear the rear of the tow car when still attached.
The rotation crown has five stop positions to hold the carrier anywhere from vertical through to rotated all the way over. Regardless of the caravan, there’s a rotated position to suit.

The position, height and rigidity of the loaded carrier can have a huge affect upon the towing dynamics as well as the handling performance of the tow vehicle. The ideal solution positions the Centre Of Mass vertically close to the trailer roll-centre and longitudinally back away from the tow ball for the lightest weight delta possible – all in a highly rigid system to keep the load in-phase with the trailer dynamics.
