Ultimate Camper
Extreme Duty Two Bike Carrier, Off Road Mid Beam, Rear Mounted, Swaps to the Tow Vehicle
“I have your extreme bike carrier and love it. We regularly recommend yours as the only one to consider. I have pawed over your web adventures for some time and was inspired enough to bite the bullet.”
The Solution
This Ultimate Camper bike rack carries two bikes at the rear of an Ultimate Xplor camper trailer, using an Extreme Duty off road carrier on a mid beam manufactured by iSi. The same carrier also moves across to the tow vehicle, a Land Rover Discovery, whenever the bikes need to travel without the camper.
Mounting at the rear of the camper keeps the drawbar free for the jockey wheel, gas and stone shielding, while the bikes ride low and central behind the trailer. The off road spec carrier is rated for corrugations and remote tracks, which is exactly where an Ultimate tends to go, and the carrier pivots up with both bikes loaded whenever the rear of the camper needs to open.
One carrier, two mounts
With a mount installed on both the camper and the Discovery, the one carrier does double duty. It lifts from one mount to the other in minutes, so day trips from camp do not mean towing the trailer to the trailhead. Each cradle carries up to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase and 5.1 inch tyres.
iSi has manufactured every system in Mitcham, Victoria since 2007 from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, all covered by a lifetime warranty. The pre-configured vehicle carriers show the tow bar systems this configuration is based on, and the sales team can configure the same double duty system for your own camper and vehicle.
