The hitch stabilizer is great at keeping everything rock solid when travelling over corrugated roads and rough tracks and eliminates uncontrolled movement of the carrier. The whole assembly can then act as a tuned member and protect the bicycles – as we designed it to. With the carrier mounted rigidly in Yaw and Roll and with a set amount of float in Pitch, the bicycles remain stabilized and secured in the event of huge shock loads as well as protected against high frequency vibrations when at speed over corrugations. At 4.5G for example, the vehicle may be damaged and occupants most likely hurting, though when you’ve recovered the bikes will be ready to ride. Never rely on the anti-rattle bolt if it is fitted to your tow bar receiver. When operated in off-highway conditions, a loaded carrier load and vibration can mushroom the tip of the bolt and loosen during a trip.

This hitch stabiliser is normally supplied with a 90mm long high tensile set screw designed to be installed in a standard single wall 50mm tow bar receiver tube.
