Extreme Duty Two Bike Carrier, Shared with a Toyota Land Cruiser 200

“Thanks so much George for the wealth of information you have supplied us. We are away at Winton with the Bushtracker Owners Group for 10 days. Everyone raved about your product, you should be very proud of it and you have given us excellent customer service.”

The Solution

This Bushtracker bike rack made its public debut at Winton, in front of the toughest audience possible: the Bushtracker Owners Group, ten days of them. The Extreme Duty two bike carrier, manufactured by iSi, moves between the Bushtracker’s drawbar and the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 that tows it.

A Bushtracker is engineered for remote Australia, and its bike rack has to hold the same line. On the drawbar the carrier splits the load roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% through the axle, riding low so the van’s off road geometry is unchanged. The carrier pivots upright with both bikes loaded, keeping the drawbar hardware within reach at camp, and lifts across to the Cruiser’s tow bar mount for day trips. Owners of other LandCruiser models can compare configurations on our LandCruiser bike racks page.

Capacity and fit

Each cradle carries up to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase and tyres to 5.1 inches. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, with a 64kg total capacity, rated for corrugations rather than caravan parks.

iSi has manufactured every caravan bike rack in Mitcham, Victoria since 2007 from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, with a lifetime warranty. If your van travels where Bushtrackers go, the sales team can configure the same dual mount system for it.
