Patriot X1

This Patriot X1 bike rack page exists because Patriot owners keep recommending it to each other. iSi manufactures Extreme Duty two and four bike carriers that bolt to the rear of the Patriot X1 and X2, pivoting down for full access to the camper and travelling anywhere the trailer does.

The proof has come back from all over the country: the Finke river track, the Savannah Way, the Gibb River Road, and corrugated routes across central Australia, with owners reporting the bikes do not move at all. Because the mount is a standard iSi base, the same carrier also swaps to the tow vehicle with a second base installed, something several Patriot owners run so the bikes can leave camp without the trailer.

Capacity and fit

The two bike carrier, with a 64kg capacity; the four bike version carries up to 84kg. Every cradle is rated to 32kg with room for 1600mm wheelbases and tyres to 5.1 inches, which covers the bikes that follow a Patriot into the desert.

iSi has manufactured these systems in Mitcham, Victoria since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel with a zinc primed, textured Dulux powder coat finish, and covers every one with a lifetime warranty.
