Most bike racks become scrap the moment you change tow ball, drawbar or vehicle. Because every iSi component is engineered to interlock with the rest of the system, the parts you already own can be reconfigured. The Trade-In & Buyback service is how iSi closes the loop.

Reconfigure, don’t replace

Keep the carrier assembly that already works. Swap only the tow-bar mount or drawbar mount needed for your new setup. The rest of your investment carries forward.

Rebate on what you return

50% rebate on certified used iSi components, 20% on brand-new replacements you choose not to keep. Applied directly to your new configuration.

Lifetime warranty retained

Components returned through the Buyback service are inspected, recertified and reissued with their lifetime warranty intact. Used iSi is still iSi.

The Process

Send through your details and a photo of your current setup. A sales engineer reviews it personally and comes back with an itemised quotation.

  • Invoice for your original purchase
  • Your new vehicle or caravan details

Receive itemised quote

A sales engineer issues an itemised quotation within 72 hours, confirming the exchange details, the rebate, and any applicable freight.

Step 03

Payment & dispatch

Confirm the quote and pay. Your replacement components are manufactured and dispatched per standard processing times.

Step 04

Return & rebate

Send back the components you no longer need. Once received, your rebate is processed to your nominated account within 10 business days.

Two ways to get parts back to iSi

Choose what suits you. Drop-off is fastest if you’re local; freight is straightforward anywhere in Australia.

Drop off at the factory

Hand your components directly to the iSi team. Convenient if you’re collecting your new configuration in person.

Return by courier or AusPost

iSi can include a return label in your replacement shipment. Repack used components in the original box with padding and drop off at any Australia Post outlet.

What’s not eligible

  • Components damaged by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modification
  • Parts that required cutting, drilling or alteration during installation
  • Items manufactured by third parties (rebate applies to iSi components only)
  • Rebates are issued as a refund to your nominated account, not as cash or store credit
Common Questions

Before you send anything back

What information do I need to send through?+

A photo of your current components, a copy of your original invoice, and the details of your new vehicle or caravan. If you’re missing any of these, send what you have and a sales engineer will work with you from there.

How is the rebate paid?+

As a refund to your nominated bank account, processed within 10 business days of iSi receiving and inspecting your returned components. The rebate is not issued as cash, gift card or store credit.

What condition do components need to be in?+

Serviceable. Surface scuffs, fade and honest wear from use are expected and do not affect eligibility. Structural damage, missing fasteners, unauthorised modification, or corrosion through neglect will reduce or void the rebate. Final assessment is on inspection at the factory.

Can I just sell my old iSi rack privately instead?+

You can, but the buyback exists so you don’t have to. iSi recertifies the components, reissues lifetime warranty on them, and reintroduces them into circulation through the spares catalogue. The rebate is iSi’s way of recognising that the original carrier still has working life in it.

Do I have to buy a new configuration to use the buyback?+

Yes. The Buyback Exchange is part of upgrading or reconfiguring — the rebate is applied against your new configuration, not paid out independently. If you’re no longer using bike racks at all, contact iSi to discuss options.

I bought from a dealer, not direct. Can I still use the buyback?+

Yes. The buyback applies to all iSi components regardless of where they were originally purchased, as long as proof of original purchase is provided.

How long does the whole process take?+

Itemised quotation within 72 hours of enquiry. Manufacturing and dispatch per standard lead times once payment is confirmed. Rebate processed within 10 business days of return receipt. End to end, most exchanges complete inside three weeks.
