Jayco Expanda

This Jayco Expanda bike rack was fitted at Bayswater Jayco, one of the dealerships we work with regularly, as an Extreme Duty Four Bike Rack Assembly on an H-Mount drawbar mount with a StrongArm Support Post. It is the configuration Jayco owners ask their dealer for by name: four bikes on the drawbar, no welding, fitted before the van leaves the yard.

Dealer fitment is the easiest path to an iSi system. The mount components arrive dimensioned for the Jayco drawbar, the H-Mount bolts to the chassis rails with the support post spreading the load, and the customer picks up a van that is bike ready from day one. The geometry keeps the weight split roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle, and the carrier pivots upright with all four bikes loaded so the pop top and bed ends work at camp without unloading.

The 800mm beam Four Bike Carrier is rated to 84kg and holds each bike by the frame in its own cradle at up to 32kg, from kids’ bikes to adult e-bikes. A vehicle mount system can be added at any time to move the same carrier onto the tow car between trips.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
