Toyota Tacoma

This Toyota Tacoma bike rack was manufactured by iSi for a two bike configuration on the vehicle’s tow bar. The system pairs a Two Bike Rack Assembly with a Compact High Profile Tow Bar Mount System, bolting straight to the tow bar with no drilling and no modification to the Tacoma.

The mount positions the bikes low and keeps the weight balanced over the tow bar, which preserves stable handling on and off the bitumen. When the tray or tailgate is needed, the carrier pivots up with both bikes still loaded, so nothing has to come off to reach the gear behind it. Why this configuration

This adventurer rides fat bikes through the winter and full suspension bikes in summer, and the system covers both. The cradles accept tyres up to 5.1 inches wide and a wheelbase up to 1600mm, with each bike position rated to 32kg. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, and carries up to 64kg in total. This particular system also travelled further than most: iSi shipped it to Alaska in the USA, and the order arrived in three days.
