TVan Mk5

This TVan MK5 bike rack carries four bikes on the camper’s drawbar, using an Extended Four Bike Carrier at 850mm mounted on a bolt-on Adjustable H-Mount, all manufactured by iSi. The extended carrier length gives each bike clear cradle spacing while the complete system bolts to the drawbar with no welding required.

Positioning the carrier over the drawbar splits the load between the tow vehicle and the camper, with roughly 70% carried on the tow ball and 30% through the axle. That balance keeps the TVan towing predictably on corrugations and rough tracks, the country this camper was designed for. At camp, the carrier pivots upright with all four bikes still loaded, so the front of the trailer stays accessible overnight without unloading a single bike.

How the system mounts

Installing this configuration required the spare tyre to be relocated, which was straightforward with the assistance of Track Trailer. With the spare moved, the Adjustable H-Mount bolts directly to the TVan MK5 drawbar and the extended carrier sits low across it, with each bike cradle rated to 32kg.
