Subaru XV

This Subaru XV bike rack proves the iSi system is not just for 4x4s and caravans. Configured with an Extreme Duty compact beam carrier at 400mm on a tow bar mount system, it carries two bikes behind a compact SUV while keeping the whole package tidy and close to the car.

The 400mm compact beam is the shortest in the range, which suits the XV well. The bikes sit low and centred over the tow bar, minimising overhang and keeping the rear camera’s view of the road largely clear when the rack is empty. The carrier pivots up with both bikes loaded, so the tailgate opens without unloading, and the whole system lifts off the tow bar mount when it is not needed. Capacity and fit

Each cradle is rated to 32kg, which is more than any bike a Subaru XV is likely to carry, and the cradles accept a wheelbase up to 1600mm with tyres up to 5.1 inches wide. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, light enough for one person to install and remove.
