Design RV CRX

The Design RV CRX is a well-built off-road caravan, and this install shows how a precise two-bike carrier can be added to its drawbar while keeping full usability. The rack integrates neatly with the existing layout and gives the bikes a strong, reliable platform for the journey.

For this configuration we fitted a two-bike rack to the Design RV CRX using a 100% bolt-on mounting system, so there is no drilling or welding to the chassis. The design sits neatly in the available drawbar space and requires no modifications to the caravan.

The carrier holds the bikes low and close to the chassis, which keeps the centre of gravity down, improves towing stability and makes loading and unloading easier — a real help with heavier bikes. Movement is minimised, so the load stays secure across sealed roads and off-road terrain alike.

Careful placement keeps the key components clear — the jockey wheel, gas bottles and front storage areas all stay accessible, so the caravan retains its everyday functionality while carrying bikes. The platform takes up to two bikes at 32kg per bike, tied back to the drawbar through an adjustable H-Mount and a StrongArm support post for a rock-solid base.

The finished result is a precise, durable Design RV CRX two-bike rack — a simple, effective and space-efficient way to carry two bikes without compromising performance or convenience.
