Why The iSi Rack For Grenadier

Purpose-Built To Match The Vehicle.

The Ineos Grenadier was built without compromise for people who actually take 4WDs off-road. No bike rack on the Australian market was engineered specifically for it, until now. iSi's Grenadier bike rack is designed around the vehicle's three unique rear-end challenges: the spare wheel, the asymmetric barn doors, and the off-road ambition.

Grenadier-Specific Engineering

The Grenadier isn't a soft-roader. It has a full-size spare wheel on the rear door, split asymmetric barn doors (narrow driver side, wide passenger side), and a genuine towing receiver engineered for real work. The iSi rack addresses every one of those details.

Spare Wheel Clearance

The Grenadier's full-size spare mounts to the passenger-side barn door. The extended main beam and high pivot base position the bikes clear of the spare, so loading and pivoting never fouls.

Asymmetric Barn Doors

The Grenadier's rear doors split 30/70 — narrow on the driver side, wide on the passenger side. When the rack pivots down, both doors swing freely, giving full access to the rear cargo bay on either side.

Overland Tested

25 or 40 degree departure clearance protects bikes from rocks and gullies. The shortest possible tow bar protrusion means the rack matches the Grenadier's own off-road ambition — no dragging on steep departures.

The iSi Difference

Completely Strap-Free.

Every other bike rack relies on straps, bungees or tie-downs. iSi doesn't. The wheel cradles and frame supports work in equilibrium so you load your bike, lock the Tee-Handle, and drive. Zero straps. Over any terrain the Grenadier will take you.

The Wheel Cradle

Carries 100% Of The Load

Quad Contact wheel cradles grip each tyre at four points on the tread. Every transport load and vibration is handled through the wheels. No movement, no rolling, no straps required. Even over sustained corrugations.

The Frame Cradle

Zero Load. Just Cradles.

Wide, soft Carbon-Care rubber gently cradles the frame upright. No pressure, no fretting, no paint damage. Safe for carbon, titanium and thin-wall alloy frames common on trail and gravel bikes.

How It Works

Load. Pivot. Drive.

Loading bikes onto Ineos Grenadier bike rack one wheel at a time
10 Seconds Per Bicycle

Wheel-By-Wheel Loading

Loading one wheel at a time eliminates the need to lift the entire bike. The wheel cradles secure each wheel at four contact points, sharing the bike's weight with the carrier. No ramps required, even for heavy e-bikes. No straps, ever.

  • 10-second load time per bike
  • E-bikes up to 32kg, no ramps required
  • Zero straps or tie-downs in the entire system
Grenadier bike rack pivoted down for barn door access
15-Second Rear Access

Pivot Down. Bikes Loaded.

The PoziLock latch releases the entire main beam to pivot down and clear of the Grenadier's asymmetric rear barn doors. Both the narrow and wide doors swing open freely, giving full cargo bay access on either side. With or without bikes on board, in 15 seconds.

  • Clears both asymmetric barn doors
  • Works with bikes on board, no unloading
  • Fridge slide and drawer compatible
Horizontal + Vertical Adjustment

Every Wheel. Every Position.

Wheel cradles slide horizontally for any wheelbase, AND have high/low vertical settings to eliminate handlebar and saddle clashes between adjacent bikes. Carries any combination of road, gravel, MTB, e-bike or fat bike on a single Grenadier rack.

  • Wheelbases up to 1,600mm
  • Vertical: high/low per wheel, per end, per bike
  • Zero side-to-side offset for road-legal width

Grenadier Buyer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

Common questions from Ineos Grenadier owners about fitment, spare wheel clearance, barn door access and off-road use.

Will this bike rack fit my Ineos Grenadier?

Yes. The iSi Ineos Grenadier bike rack is compatible with Station Wagon and Quartermaster models (including Trialmaster and Fieldmaster variants) equipped with a standard 50x50mm tow bar receiver. The pre-configured system is engineered to clear the asymmetric rear barn doors and the passenger-side spare wheel mount.

Does the rack clear the Grenadier's rear spare wheel?

Yes. The iSi Grenadier bike rack uses an extended main beam and high pivot base to position the bikes clear of the rear-mounted spare wheel. When the rack is pivoted down, the larger passenger-side barn door swings open freely, even with bikes loaded.

Can I open the Grenadier's barn doors with bikes loaded?

Yes. The PoziLock pivot mechanism lets you pivot the entire rack (with bikes on board) down and clear of the asymmetric rear barn doors. Both the narrow driver-side and wide passenger-side doors can be opened with the rack in its lowered position.

The pivot takes 15 seconds and does not require unloading the bikes, so you keep full cargo access on both sides during a lunch stop or camp setup.

Is the rack rated for off-road touring on the Grenadier?

Yes. iSi racks are field-tested across the harshest Australian terrain including corrugated outback tracks, rock crawling, soft sand and water crossings. The 40 degree (2-bike) and 25 degree (4-bike) departure clearance angles protect bikes from below, and the short tow bar protrusion prevents the rack from digging into the track on steep departures and river crossing exits.

Will it carry e-bikes on my Grenadier?

Yes. The iSi Grenadier bike rack handles bikes up to 32kg each, well above most e-bike weights. The wheel-by-wheel loading method means you never lift the full bike weight at any point. The 2-bike rack carries 64kg total, the 4-bike rack carries 84kg total.

Can I swap the rack between my Grenadier and my caravan?

Yes. Add the iSi Bolt-On Drawbar Mount System to your caravan or camper trailer drawbar, and the same carrier swaps between vehicle and trailer in under a minute, no tools required. Great for base-camping with the trailer and running day trips from the Grenadier.

Do these racks suit stock Grenadier tow bars or aftermarket?

The pre-configured Grenadier bike rack suits the genuine Ineos tow bar and any aftermarket hitch with a standard 50x50mm receiver. If you have a custom rear bar or are running additional accessories off the back, contact our sales engineers for a tailored configuration.

What's the difference between the 2-bike and 4-bike Grenadier rack?

The 2-bike Grenadier rack uses an extended main beam at 40 degree departure clearance, positioned to clear the rear spare wheel while keeping the bikes as compact as possible. The 4-bike rack uses a longer extended beam at 25 degree clearance with stadium-style staggered loading to fit four bikes in the most compact length possible.

Both share the same Grenadier-compatible pivot base, and you can buy a Conversion Pack to switch between them later.
