Australis Expedition

This Australis Expedition bike rack is a great example of what can be achieved in tight drawbar space without compromising strength or usability. For this installation we delivered a three bike carrier on the Australis Expedition using a 100% bolt on design, with careful planning to fit everything correctly while keeping the van fully functional.

With limited room on the drawbar, positioning was everything. The carrier was located to retain full access to the jockey wheel for normal hitching and unhitching, while sitting as close to the body of the van as possible. Keeping the load tight to the van helps manage ball weight, reduces leverage on the drawbar, and creates a more stable platform across sealed roads and rough tracks alike.

The result carries three bikes securely with a clean, practical layout that integrates neatly with the van’s existing structure, no unnecessary modifications required. Mounted on our H-Mount with a StrongArm Support Post, each bike rides in its own wheel support cradles, held by a frame support cradle, at up to 32kg.
