We recently completed a clean and practical two-bike rack installation on a Cub C16, configuring a bolt-on drawbar mounting system paired with our StrongArm support post for maximum rigidity.

The Cub C16’s compact hybrid design makes efficient use of drawbar space essential. For this configuration, we positioned the carrier to maintain full functionality of the jockey wheel and access to the gas bottles, while ensuring safe clearance during articulation and tight turns. No unnecessary modifications were required – just a properly engineered mounting solution designed to integrate with the existing drawbar structure.

The result is a solid, stable platform capable of carrying two bikes securely across both sealed and unsealed roads. Load distribution was carefully considered to keep ball weight within acceptable limits while maintaining ease of access when setting up camp.

As with all our caravan installations, this Cub C16 was configured specifically to suit the chassis geometry rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. The finished outcome is neat, strong and purpose-built – giving the owner confidence whether touring locally or heading off-grid.
