Kimberley Kamper Trailer
Compact Two Bike Rack Assembly on a Kimberley-Specific StrongArm Support Post, with Fortuner Mount
The Solution
This Kimberley Kamper bike rack pairs a Kimberley specific StrongArm Support Post with a compact 400mm two bike carrier, fitted by Phoebe to her Kimberley Kamper Trailer. The support post bolts directly to the KK chassis, a brand specific fitment engineered to the trailer rather than adapted to it, and the same carrier moves to the rear of her Toyota Fortuner when the camper stays home.
Kimberley build their campers for the country their name evokes, so the mounting hardware has to earn its place. Bolting the StrongArm directly to the chassis puts the bike load into the strongest part of the trailer, and the compact 400mm beam keeps the two bikes tight and low with the weight split roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle.
The carrier does both jobs a good camper rack must: it pivots upward for access to the front storage compartment of the trailer, and it pivots down for rear vehicle access when fitted to the Fortuner. Each bike rides in its own frame held cradle at up to 32kg, rated to 64kg total.
Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty. Brand specific camper fitments are everyday work in our caravan bike racks range, with the Fortuner in the pre-configured vehicle carriers.
