Nissan Navara

This Nissan Navara bike rack is a Compact Four Bike Rack Assembly on a bolt on PBM/H Extended Pivot Base, installed by Scott from Mitcham Laser. On a dual cab ute the challenge is always the tub: the carrier has to clear it while still holding four bikes low and steady, and the extended pivot base does exactly that.

The extended geometry stands the compact four bike beam back far enough to clear the Navara’s tub and tailgate while keeping the load low over the tow bar for composed handling. The pivot base swings the whole loaded carrier up and clear, so the tray and tailgate stay within reach without unloading a single bike, on and off the bitumen. Four bikes behind a dual cab is the configuration that keeps the tub free for everything else, camping gear, tools, dogs, while the bikes ride safely behind. Each bike sits in its own wheel support cradles, held by a frame support cradle, at up to 32kg, with the assembly rated to 84kg total.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
