VW Transporter

This VW T4 bike rack keeps a classic Transporter road trip ready: an Extreme Duty 4x4x2 on a 400mm compact beam, manufactured by iSi and mounted through the van’s tow bar mount system. Two bikes load in moments, and the barn doors still open with everything in place.

A T4 earns its keep as a do-everything van, so the carrier had to stay out of the way of daily life. The compact beam holds the cradles tight against the rear, the load rides low over the tow bar, and the carrier pivots up with both bikes on whenever the boot needs unloading. Capacity and fit

Each cradle carries up to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase and tyres to 5.1 inches. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, with a 64kg total capacity, an easy one person lift on and off the mount.
