Jayco Expanda

This Jayco Expanda drawbar mount bike rack has already earned a stamp from Carnarvon Gorge, one of Queensland’s great walking and riding destinations. The Extreme Duty 4x4x4 on a 700mm beam, manufactured by iSi with an Expanda-specific drawbar mount, carries four bikes between the van and a Toyota Land Cruiser 200.

The drawbar mount is cut for the Expanda’s rail spacing, so the carrier bolts on without persuasion and sits exactly where the van carries load best: roughly 70% through the tow ball and 30% through the axle. The 700mm beam holds the four cradles clear of the front boot, the carrier pivots upright with the bikes loaded, and the Cruiser’s mount takes over for trips away from camp. Capacity and fit
