Land Rover Defender
Four Bike Rack Assembly, Extended Beam, on a Tow Bar Mount System
“It was great, having the peace of mind that the bikes were secure, and the simplicity of loading and unloading. Just as you promised.”
The Solution
This Land Rover Defender bike rack carries four bikes on an extended beam carrier manufactured by iSi, mounted to the vehicle through a tow bar mount system. It is a bolt-on configuration from end to end, with no drilling and no change to the Defender itself.
Four bikes is a serious load to hang off the back of any vehicle, which is why this system keeps the weight low and tight to the tow bar rather than up high on a door or roof. The extended beam spreads the four cradles so handlebars and seats interleave cleanly, and the whole carrier pivots up with the bikes still loaded when the rear of the vehicle needs to open. Loading is simple: each bike drops into its own cradle, secure and separated from the next.
