Fiat Ducato

This Fiat Ducato bike rack lives on the back of a motorhome that rarely sits still: 3000km in its first stretch, with camp moved every two or three days. The Extreme Duty 4x4x2 on a 500mm beam, manufactured by iSi with a PBC pivot base, was chosen precisely because it connects and disconnects in moments.

Motorhome life rewards hardware that does not argue. The carrier drops onto its mount, the two bikes drop into their cradles, and the whole lot comes off just as quickly when the Ducato is parked up at places like the Glasshouse Mountains. The pivot base folds the loaded carrier away from the rear doors, so the garage stays accessible between rides.

Capacity and fit

Each cradle carries up to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase and tyres to 5.1 inches, which covers the e-bikes most motorhome travellers ride. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, with a 64kg total capacity.
