Franklin Razor

Two Bike Rack Assembly, H-Mount and Support Post, Under-Gas-Bottle Fitment

The Solution

This Franklin Razor bike rack is a second example of iSi’s under gas bottle fitment on the Razor, this time for Neil. A two bike carrier bolts neatly beneath the gas bottles on a 100% bolt on system, making efficient use of the drawbar while keeping the layout clean and every component accessible.

As on every Razor, the carrier is positioned to clear the chassis strengthening rails so the integrity of the drawbar is maintained, working with the van’s structure rather than against it. That avoids unnecessary stress and delivers a stable, reliable platform for two bikes.

Keeping the bikes low and close to the chassis improves towing balance and reduces movement in travel, splitting the load roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle, secure on highways and off road alike. With no modifications required, the system integrates seamlessly with the caravan. Mounted on an H-Mount with a StrongArm Support Post, each bike rides in its own wheel support cradles, held by a frame support cradle, at up to 32kg, rated to 64kg total.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty. See the full range in our caravan bike racks, with tow vehicles in the pre-configured vehicle carriers.
