Harvok Suit of Armour
Four Bike Rack Assembly, H-Mount and Support Post Cantilevered Over the Toolbox
The Solution
This Harvok Suit of Armour bike rack shows how an efficient mounting position maximises capacity while keeping the drawbar functional and uncluttered. For this configuration we installed a Four Bike Rack Assembly on a 100% bolt on mount positioned neatly beneath the gas bottles, using the available drawbar space effectively without interfering with key components.
The clever engineering here is the cantilever. The carrier is designed so the bikes cantilever over the toolbox, which makes it possible to carry four bikes even with limited drawbar space, keeping the load close to the chassis with a clean, practical layout.
Positioning the carrier low improves towing stability and reduces movement in travel, splitting the load roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle, a rigid platform on sealed roads and off road alike. Mounted on an H-Mount with a StrongArm Support Post, each bike rides in its own wheel support cradles, held by a frame support cradle, at up to 32kg, rated to 84kg total.
Despite the capacity, the installation stays tidy and well integrated with the camper. Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
