Newlands Luxe

The Newlands Luxe is a well-appointed caravan, and this build shows how a precise, space-efficient two-bike carrier can be added to the drawbar without crowding the layout. By mounting the rack neatly beneath the gas bottles, the upper drawbar area stays clear and functional while the bikes ride on a strong, stable platform.

For this configuration we installed a two-bike rack to the Newlands Luxe using a 100% bolt-on mounting system positioned under the gas bottles, so there is no drilling or welding to the chassis. It makes efficient use of the available drawbar space and keeps everything above it easy to reach.

The carrier holds the bikes low and close to the chassis, which keeps the centre of gravity down, improves towing stability and makes loading and unloading easier, a real help with heavier bikes. Movement is minimised so the load stays secure over both highway and off-road conditions.

Mounting under the gas bottles also spreads the load more evenly across the chassis, reducing stress on any single mounting point for a more stable, durable result. The platform carries up to two bikes at 32kg per bike, tied back to the drawbar through an adjustable H-Mount and a StrongArm support post for a rock-solid base.

The finished result is a precise, durable Newlands Luxe two-bike rack, a strong, well-balanced and space-efficient way to carry two bikes without compromising performance or usability.
