MDC XL15

The MDC XL15 is a capable off-road camper, and this build shows how a high-capacity four-bike carrier can be added to its drawbar while keeping the layout precise and fully functional. The configuration works with the camper’s existing structure and delivers a strong, stable platform for carrying the whole family’s bikes.

For this configuration we installed a four-bike rack to the MDC XL15 using a 100% bolt-on mounting system, so there is no drilling or welding to the chassis. The carrier holds the bikes low and close to the chassis, which keeps the centre of gravity down and improves towing stability. Even with four bikes aboard, movement is minimised so the load stays secure and composed across sealed roads and off-road terrain alike.

Despite the increased capacity, the installation keeps the key drawbar components clear. The jockey wheel, gas bottles and front storage areas all stay accessible, so the camper remains practical on every trip. The platform carries up to four bikes at 32kg per bike, tied back to the drawbar through an adjustable H-Mount and a StrongArm support post for a rock-solid base.

The finished result is a precise, durable MDC XL15 four-bike rack, a strong, space-efficient solution for carrying four bikes without compromising usability or performance.
