76 Series LandCruiser (2026)

This 2026 76 Series bike rack was configured for Ian and Gwen, who wanted two mountain bikes carried off the back of their new 76 Series LandCruiser without giving up the rear barn doors, the spare wheel or the departure angle that makes the wagon worth owning.

The 76 Series presents a specific problem. The spare sits out the back, the twin doors swing wide, and anything mounted behind the vehicle has to clear both. We manufactured a Tow Bar Mount System that picks up the tow bar and carries the load low and close to the vehicle, then installed a Two Bike Rack Assembly on top of it. Loaded, the assembly is rated to 64kg, with 32kg allowed per bike, which covers full suspension trail bikes and most e-bikes without argument. Ian and Gwen also had a Lightboard System installed. With two bikes and a set of 29 inch wheels sitting behind the tail lights, the lightboard keeps the indicators, brake lights and number plate visible and legal, which is why the plate was the last thing they were waiting on before the first trip.
