Suzuki Jimny
Extreme Duty Fat Bike Carrier, Mid Beam, with 40mm and 50mm Pivot Bases
The Solution
This Suzuki Jimny bike rack was configured for fat bikes, pairing an Extreme Duty mid beam carrier with both 40mm and 50mm pivot bases so the one system swaps between a Suzuki Jimny and a Land Rover Discovery. Manufactured by iSi and mounted through a tow bar mount system, it bolts to whichever vehicle is doing the driving that day.
Fat bikes are exactly what the cradle geometry was designed to cope with. Tyres up to 5.1 inches wide sit straight into the cradles with no adaptors, each position rated to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase. On a vehicle as short as the Jimny, the mid beam keeps the load tucked in close behind the spare, low over the tow bar, so the little 4×4 stays as chuckable as ever. For other makes and models, see our vehicle bike rack range.
One carrier, two vehicles
With a pivot base installed on each vehicle, the carrier lifts from the Jimny to the Discovery in minutes. It pivots up with the bikes loaded on either vehicle, keeping the rear door usable, and comes off entirely when it is not needed.
iSi has manufactured these systems in Mitcham, Victoria since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, with a lifetime warranty on every system. The pre-configured vehicle carriers cover most vehicles, and the sales team can configure a fat bike system like this one for yours.
