VW Trakka Transporter

This VW Trakka Transporter bike rack carries two bikes behind a T5 campervan that spends real time on outback dirt. iSi configured an Extreme Duty off road carrier on a compact beam, mounted through a tow bar mount system, and the photos tell the rest of the story: red dust roads a long way from anywhere.

A campervan conversion like the Trakka uses every inch of interior space, so the bikes have to live outside without blocking the rear doors. The compact beam keeps both cradles hard against the back of the van, low over the tow bar, and the carrier pivots up with the bikes loaded whenever the rear needs to open. Off road spec means the cradles and beam are rated for corrugated roads, not just caravan park driveways.

Capacity and fit

Each cradle carries up to 32kg and fits wheelbases to 1600mm with tyres to 5.1 inches. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, so it lifts off the mount easily when the van is at home between trips.
