This EarthCruiser Explorer bike rack is an Extreme Duty Two Bicycle Carrier, manufactured for an Explorer XPR440 expedition truck on a Unimog U 430. The Explorer is a vehicle designed to reach the end of the world and come back, so the carrier had to match the truck: maximum ground clearance, no compromise to the departure angle, and strength to cope with corrugations at full touring weight.

The system mounts to the rear of the truck beside the covered spare wheel, carrying the bikes high and clear of everything the terrain can throw at them. The Two Bike Carrier is rated to 64kg and carries up to 32kg per bike, which covers heavy touring and electric bikes with room to spare. Like every iSi system it installs and removes as a single unit, so the carrier can come off quickly when the truck heads somewhere the bikes should not. Every carrier is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in a textured Dulux powder coat, and every system is covered by a lifetime warranty.
