Jayco Swan

This Jayco Swan Outback bike rack is an Extreme Duty Two Bicycle Carrier, manufactured for Al’s 2018 Swan Outback and his Toyota Kluger AWD. It is one system configured for two jobs: riding on the camper’s drawbar when the family is towing, and moving across to the Kluger’s tow bar when the Swan stays home.

On the drawbar the carrier places the load where a camper trailer carries it best, distributing roughly 70% of the weight to the tow ball and 30% to the axle, so the Swan tows the way Jayco intended. The carrier also pivots upright with both bikes still loaded, which means overnight stops do not require unloading a single bike before the camper is wound up. The Two Bike Carrier is rated to 64kg and carries up to 32kg per bike, enough for an adult mountain bike and a child’s bike with plenty in reserve, exactly the pair this Swan carries. The Swan Outback rides higher than the standard Swan, and the carrier is configured to suit, keeping the bikes level and secure above the drawbar mounted load. It is the same approach we take across every caravan bike rack we manufacture, measured to the van rather than forced onto it.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in a textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
