TVan MK4

This TVan MK4 bike rack belongs to a family who refuse to leave anyone’s bike behind. An Extreme Duty 4x4x4 carrier and a 4x4x2 expansion pack, both manufactured by iSi, move between a Track Trailer TVan MK4 and the Nissan Patrol that tows it, covering every combination of trip the household takes.

Over the TVan’s drawbar, the four bike carrier puts the load where an off road camper handles it best, splitting roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% through the axle. The bikes ride low against the stone shield line, and the carrier pivots upright with everything still loaded, so nothing on the drawbar becomes unreachable at camp. On Patrol duty, the same components bolt to the tow bar mount instead.

Capacity and fit

Between the four bike assembly and the expansion cradles, every position is rated to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase and tyres to 5.1 inches. The Four Bike Rack Assembly, and carries up to 84kg.
