Jayco Swan

This Jayco Swan bike rack is one of the more flexible systems iSi has configured: an Extreme Duty 4x4x4 four bike carrier paired with a 4x4x2 expansion pack, shared between a Jayco Swan Outback camper and the Toyota Prado 150 that tows it. The whole family’s bikes travel, and the mounting point changes to suit the trip.

On the Swan, the carrier rides over the drawbar where the camper carries weight best, roughly 70% through the tow ball and 30% through the axle, keeping the pop-top stable on outback roads. The carrier pivots upright with the bikes still loaded, so the toolbox, jockey wheel and boot lid on the drawbar stay reachable at camp. When the camper stays home, the same components move across to the Prado’s tow bar mount. If you tow a different model, the Jayco bike rack range covers the rest of the lineup.

Growing with the family

The expansion pack approach means the system scales from two kids’ bikes on the drawbar to four full size bikes without buying a second rack. Every cradle is rated to 32kg with room for wheelbases to 1600mm and tyres to 5.1 inches, and the Four Bike Rack Assembly carries up to 84kg in total.
