Nissan Patrol

This Nissan Patrol 2 bike rack travelled further than most before it carried a single bike: we manufactured it in Melbourne and shipped it to Markus in Germany, where it now rides on the tow bar of his barn door Patrol. Distance does not change the engineering, and an Extreme Duty Two Bicycle Carrier works the same on a German cobblestone street as it does on the Gibb River Road.

Markus’s Patrol runs a swing away rear wheel carrier and barn doors, exactly the configuration that rules out most off the shelf racks. The iSi system tilts down with both bikes still loaded, and his photos show the result: both doors wide open, drawer system accessible, bikes untouched. The Two Bike Carrier is rated to 64kg and carries up to 32kg per bike, manufactured from Australian mild steel and stainless steel with a zinc primer under a textured Dulux powder coat.
