Ford Ranger

This Ford Ranger bike rack is a straightforward configuration done properly: an Extreme Duty 4x4x2 two bike carrier manufactured by iSi, mounted to the Ranger’s tow bar through a tow bar mount system. No drilling, no tray modifications, nothing welded to the ute.

A dual cab ute carries its load behind the rear axle already, so the carrier is designed to sit as low and as close as the tow bar allows. Both bikes ride in their own cradles below tray height, where they neither block the tailgate view nor catch the wind. The carrier pivots up with the bikes loaded when the tailgate needs to drop, and lifts off the mount when the tray is working for a living. Capacity and fit

Each cradle is rated to 32kg and accepts a 1600mm wheelbase with tyres to 5.1 inches, which comfortably covers a pair of trail bikes or e-bikes. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, and carries up to 64kg all told.
