Kia Sorento

This Kia Sorento bike rack carries a family’s full mix of bikes, carbon fibre road frames alongside mountain bikes, on an Extreme Duty 4x4x4 carrier manufactured by iSi. A high profile pivot base lifts the whole system for extra ground clearance, and everything mounts through the tow bar with nothing altered on the Sorento.

Carbon road bikes are the true test of a cradle design, and it is why each bike gets its own cradle rather than hanging by the frame. The four positions hold every bike upright and separated, with the load carried low over the tow bar. The high profile base adds standoff height, useful on driveways and speed humps, and the carrier pivots up with all four bikes loaded whenever the tailgate needs to open. Capacity and fit

Each cradle is rated to 32kg and accepts wheelbases to 1600mm and tyres to 5.1 inches, so the same cradle that carries a 7kg road bike happily takes a heavy e-bike. The Four Bike Rack Assembly, with an 84kg total capacity.
