Ford Raptor F150

This Ford F150 Raptor bike rack found its way from Mitcham, Victoria to the deserts of Qatar. An Extreme Duty 4x4x2 two bike carrier on a compact beam, manufactured by iSi and mounted through a tow bar mount system, hangs off the back of one of the most capable factory desert trucks ever sold.

A Raptor is wide, long and designed to be driven hard over sand, which sets a high bar for anything bolted to it. The compact beam keeps the two cradles pulled in tight below the tailgate, where the bikes ride out of the airflow and away from the dust plume. The carrier pivots up with both bikes loaded so the tailgate still drops, and the whole system lifts off the mount when the truck goes hunting dunes without them. Capacity and fit

Each cradle takes up to 32kg with clearance for a 1600mm wheelbase and tyres to 5.1 inches, so desert-ready fat bikes fit as naturally as trail bikes. The Two Bike Rack Assembly, with a 64kg capacity.
