Extreme Duty Two Bike Carrier with Four Bike Expansion, Shared Across a Range Rover, Defender and Polaris Ranger

“Thought you might be interested in some pictures of what we are doing with the awesome rack. Usually it's attached to our Range Rover or Land Rover, but it also fits our Polaris Ranger for some even better off road fun! A truly brilliant bike rack, just love it.”

The Solution

This Polaris Ranger bike rack might be the most versatile system iSi has shipped across the Tasman. In New Zealand it rotates between three machines: a Range Rover, a Land Rover Defender, and a Polaris Ranger side by side, all sharing one Extreme Duty 4x4x2 carrier with a 4x4x4 expansion for the bigger days.

The trick is the tow bar mount system. With a mount installed on each vehicle, the carrier lifts from the Range Rover’s tow bar to the Polaris in minutes, which means the bikes can go the last rough kilometres that even a Defender will not. Each bike rides in its own cradle, the carrier pivots up loaded, and the expansion pack doubles capacity from two bikes to four when the whole family rides. Every vehicle we have installed a system on starts from the tow bar bike rack range.

Capacity and fit

Every cradle is rated to 32kg with room for a 1600mm wheelbase and tyres to 5.1 inches. As a two bike system the carrier,; expanded, it carries up to 84kg across four cradles.

iSi has manufactured these systems in Mitcham, Victoria since 2007, in Australian mild steel and stainless steel with a zinc primed, textured Dulux powder coat finish, and ships them worldwide with a lifetime warranty. From ATVs to wagons, the pre-configured vehicle carriers are the starting point, and the sales team can configure multi-vehicle systems like this one.
