Great Aussie Caravan

This Great Aussie Caravan bike rack is an Extreme Duty Four Bike Rack Assembly on a bolt on Adjustable H-Mount with a StrongArm Support Post, mounted under the gas bottles on the van’s drawbar. Great Aussie build tough tourers, and this configuration keeps four bikes travelling with one, off road included.

The under gas bottle position tucks the carrier low and close, keeping the bikes clear of the van body while the load sits back where a caravan tows it best, split roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle. The H-Mount bolts to the drawbar without welding and comes off just as easily, and the StrongArm post carries the bike load down into the chassis so corrugations stress the steel we engineered for it, not the drawbar arms.

The carrier pivots up with all four bikes loaded, keeping the front boot within reach at camp, and each bike rides in its own wheel support cradles, held by a frame support cradle, at up to 32kg on the 700mm beam, with the assembly rated to 84kg total.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
