Ineos Grenadier

This Ineos Grenadier bike rack is an Extreme Duty Two Bicycle Carrier on a bolt on PBC-H vehicle mount system, installed on Harold’s Grenadier. The Grenadier was built by Ineos as a purist’s off roader in the old Defender mould, and it deserves a bike carrier engineered to the same uncompromising brief.

The Grenadier carries a side hinged rear door and often a tailgate mounted spare, so the 600mm beam is chosen to stand the bikes clear of both while keeping the load as low and close to the vehicle as the geometry allows. The bikes ride balanced over the tow bar for stable travel on rough ground, each in its own wheel support cradles, held by a frame support cradle, at up to 32kg, and the carrier pivots up with the bikes loaded so the rear door stays within reach. The Grenadier is exactly the kind of hard working 4×4 our carriers were designed around three decades ago, and the fit is as rigid and rattle free here as on any Land Cruiser. Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
