Jayco Journey

This Journey 4 bike rack tells an upgrade story. Jay’s family moved up from a Jayco Swan to a Jayco Journey pop top, and the bike carrier simply moved with them: an Extreme Duty Four Bike Rack Assembly on an Adjustable H-Mount with a support post on the Journey’s drawbar, and a vehicle mount on the Ranger’s tow bar for trips without the van.

This is the payoff of a modular system. When the van changes, you re-mount rather than re-buy. The Adjustable H-Mount bolts to the new drawbar without welding, the support post carries the load into the chassis, and the same carrier that served the Swan now rides the Journey. On the drawbar the four bikes sit with the load split roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle, pivoting upright fully loaded so the pop top lifts at camp with the bikes in place. The 700mm beam Four Bike Carrier is rated to 84kg and carries up to 32kg per bike, and on the Ranger it keeps the tub free for the rest of the gear.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty that carries across van upgrades.
