Jayco Silverline

This Jayco Silverline bike rack is an Extreme Duty Two Bicycle Carrier on a PBC-H pivot base and Adjustable H-Mount, bolted to the drawbar of Terry’s Silverline with a matching tow bar mount for his Ford Ranger. Two bikes travel ahead of the van on tour and behind the Ranger the rest of the year.

The Silverline is one of Jayco’s premium vans, and its drawbar already earns its keep with a full complement of gear. The Adjustable H-Mount bolts on without welding and positions the carrier clear of it all, while the pivot base swings the loaded carrier aside whenever the front boot needs opening at camp. Weight lands where a van tows it best, roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle. The rest of the range is covered on our Jayco bike racks page.

Terry’s note was short and to the point, a great system, and the system doing the work here is the modular one: carrier, mount and pivot base each selected for the van, all sharing the same cradles that hold each bike by the frame at up to 32kg. The Two Bike Carrier is rated to 64kg.

Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty.
