Jayco Camper Trailer
Four Bike Rack Assembly, Jayco Bolt-On Drawbar Mount, Support Post and Hilux SR5 Mount
“Received the bike rack and all set up. It's a great quality product, well done!”
The Solution
This Jayco camper trailer bike rack is the configuration we build most often, shown here on Gary’s Jayco Outback camper: an Extreme Duty Four Bike Rack Assembly on a Jayco bolt on drawbar mount with a support post, plus a tow bar mount for his Toyota Hilux SR5. Four bikes on the camper for the family holidays, the same carrier on the Hilux the rest of the year.
Jayco’s camper trailers, from the Swan and Eagle through the Outback variants, share drawbar geometry that we have manufactured mounts for since 2007, so a system like Gary’s arrives dimensioned to bolt straight on. He set it up himself and sent back the verdict we aim for: great quality product, all set up. Owners of other models can compare configurations across our Jayco bike racks range.
On the drawbar the load splits roughly 70% to the tow ball and 30% to the axle, the support post carries the weight into the chassis, and the carrier pivots upright with all four bikes loaded so the camper winds up at overnight stops without touching them. The 700mm beam Four Bike Carrier is rated to 84kg and holds each bike by the frame at up to 32kg.
Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, and covered by a lifetime warranty. Every Jayco model is covered in our caravan bike racks range, with the Hilux and its stablemates in the pre-configured vehicle carriers.
