Land Cruiser 60 Series

This Land Cruiser 60 Series bike rack carries two bikes behind one of Toyota’s classic 4x4s, using an Extreme Duty Extended carrier at 600mm manufactured by iSi and installed through a tow bar mount system. Nothing on the vehicle was modified: the system bolts on, and it comes off just as cleanly.

The 60 Series carries its spare on the rear, so the extended 600mm carrier earns its place here, holding the bikes clear of the barn doors and the spare wheel while keeping the load low over the tow bar. With the weight down near the chassis line the old Cruiser tows and tracks the way it always has, and the carrier pivots up with both bikes loaded whenever the rear doors need to swing open. Capacity and fit

Each cradle on the two bike carrier is rated to 32kg, with room for a wheelbase up to 1600mm and tyres up to 5.1 inches wide. That covers everything from touring bikes to modern trail bikes, all sitting in their own cradle rather than leaning on the paintwork of a four decade old vehicle.
