Jayco Swan

This Land Cruiser 100 Series bike rack spent its first big trip doing the Victorian High Country properly: Bright for the Mystic trails, river crossings into Geehi Hut, then over to Thredbo, with Jason’s Extreme Duty Four Bike Rack Assembly moving between the 100 Series and the family’s Jayco Swan camper the whole way.

That itinerary is a test lab for a bike carrier. Corrugations, water crossings and alpine descents with four mountain bikes aboard, and Jason’s verdict was that the rack handled everything with ease. On the Swan the carrier rides the drawbar with the load split roughly 70% to the ball and 30% to the axle, pivoting upright with the bikes loaded so the camper winds up at Geehi without touching them. Every system is manufactured in Mitcham, Victoria, as they have been since 2007, from Australian mild steel and stainless steel, zinc primed and finished in textured Dulux powder coat, with a lifetime warranty.
